With 140 part numbers being introduced in the coming months as well as a strategic effort to have specific top-selling parts guaranteed in stock,
link hidden, please login to view is focused on ensuring coverage is readily available for popular vehicle makes and models, the company said. The “Top Movers” project will ensure that Dayco’s top high-volume part numbers are always in stock for distributors. The operations team is enhancing Dayco’s warehouse-management system by creating a new safety-stock policy as well as consolidating different orders to the same shipment, reducing complexity, costs and order cycle times, according to the company.
“We have the right team in place to help us re-establish our position in the market,” said Tom Tecklenburg, VP of Dayco N.A. Aftermarket. “Our key focus this past year has been on improving our fill rates and analyzing any possible gaps in our core product offerings – belts, kits and components. The Top Movers initiative and new coverage we’re introducing build on a commitment to our customers to help drive sales among the shops they serve, and to ensure top movers are always available so we can deliver the right part at the right time.”
The initiative also includes bringing to market 140 new part numbers during Q1 2024. Dayco’s line of light-duty serpentine-belt kits will grow by eight part numbers, for a total of 105 SKUs, focusing on high-VIO applications including popular last-mile delivery fleet vehicles.
Timing-chain kits will increase by nine SKUs. Serpentine belts will increase by 4 SKUs for an increase in VIO coverage of 2.3 million.
In addition, Dayco is launching more than 40 SKUs for tensioners, water pumps and pulley to enhance coverage for fast-moving applications.
Hoses also continue to see line adjustments, with 80 SKUs launching in 2023 for an additional 54 million in VIO coverage. The line includes two new branched hoses for super-duty Ford diesel trucks.
For additional details, distributors should contact their Dayco sales representative.

O’Reilly Automotive recently introduced a new line of private-label brake pads and rotors.
Designed for newer-model domestic vehicles, BrakeBest Select Pro brake pads and rotors are “engineered with input from professional technicians to offer a quiet stop, easy break-in and complete corrosion resistance,” according to the company.
“Our BrakeBest Select Pro lineup is carefully designed to meet the highest standards,” said David Wilbanks, O’Reilly senior vice president of merchandise. “We worked with our world-class, ISO-certified factory partners to design and deliver a solution that professional technicians will be confident to use every day on domestic vehicles.”
The pads contain five layers of noise-canceling shims, ensuring quiet, safe stops. “The rotors are precision machined and balanced to a higher tolerance than others and will perform longer due to the corrosion-resistant coating that covers the entire surface,” O’Reilly added.
The signature blue break-in coating not only reduces break-in time, but it also prevents future pulsation or vibration, according to the company.

Momentum USA Inc. is introducing a new brake-pad offering as an extension of AmeriPLATINUM, Max Duty.
The brake pads will be the most complete pads offered by AmeriBRAKES, providing three levels of protection for fleet, emergency-service and other severe-duty requirements, according to the company.
The 100% copper-free brake pads feature A.R.M. – R.A.C. technology. A.R.M. refers to the mechanical-attachment method of securing the brake pad to the backing plate. Rust Abatement Coating (R.A.C.) helps prevent possible pad delamination and premature wear using zinc-coated galvanized technology.
The A.R.M. – R.A.C. technology helps with NVH issues and helps to ensure a quiet brake system, according to Momentum USA.
“By mitigating ‘rust-jacking,’ these pads will have the benefit of longer life,” the company said in a news release. “100% manufactured and distributed in North America, Max Duty pads deliver dependability, exceed expectations and provide peace of mind in the most severe conditions.”
AmeriPLATINUM Plus Max Duty brake pads will be available for distribution and sale in the coming weeks.
