Six grand-prize winners will choose a powersports vehicle of their choice – worth up to $15,000. In addition to the vehicles, 150 lucky winners will take home $25,000 in gift cards.

Perfect Stop is a premium line offering brake pads, rotors, calipers and cleaners for light-duty, medium-duty and heavy-duty applications. The brake line’s annual powersports sweepstakes draw upward of 150,000 entries as technicians vie for one of the powersports or cash prizes.

Beginning June 1 and ending on July 31, technicians will earn entries by purchasing Perfect Stop through the e-commerce parts-ordering platform MyPlace4Parts. All qualifying orders are automatically entered into the sweepstakes for the six grand-prize selections, and gift cards in $100, $250 or $500 increments.

“Perfect Stop has the professional technician in mind,” says Dan Rader, vice president of category management. “From our technologically advanced brake pads, sensors and calipers to our high-carbon rotors and brake cleaners and brake fluid – each product is well-designed for everyday applications. This sweepstakes encourages technicians to combine the product

lines and increase the end user’s overall fulfillment. It creates the one-stop-shop for the wheel end.”

National Performance Warehouse (NPW) has shared highlights form its 32nd-annual charity golf event, held Dec. 11 at the Miami Lakes Golf Club.
In addition to having more than 100 players from the automotive industry, PGA’s Erik Compton was there to offer advice and inspire the teams. Compton, who is a Miami native with several professional PGA wins, held a clinic before the shotgun start to help improve the players handicaps and offer guidance. Erik was also stationed on the 18th hole with his Trakman showing player’s their individual swing metrics while blasting drives on the closing par 4.
At the end of play, an event was held at the Miami Lakes Golf Club’s facility. Following cocktails and dinner there were awards and recognition. Door prizes were presented to everyone who played. The winner was CAM Automotive with 16 under par. The event culminated with $6,000 pledged to First Tee Miami.
“We are very grateful for the support of all our sponsors who make this event possible,” said Chris Pacey, CEO of NPW. “We certainly know that both our customers and our suppliers create business opportunities here as well as friendships as they spend time outside the normal business process. We are also glad to have the proceeds benefit The First Tee of Miami. We look forward to our 33rd event next year.”

Purolator Filters, a division of MANN+HUMMEL, announced that the company will be kicking off its 100-year anniversary celebration at this year’s Automotive Aftermarket Product Expo (AAPEX).
In 2023, Purolator will be commemorating 100 years of “Purifying Your World.” In 1923, Ernest Sweetland developed and patented the first oil-filtration system, calling it the “Purolator,” short for the words “pure oil later.” As years went on, the company continued to evolve, manufacture and distribute filters, such as air, cabin air and fuel filters for the automotive industry.
The global filtration company MANN+HUMMEL acquired Purolator Filters in 2012. Today, Purolator has more than 2,000 filtration part numbers for automotive, light-truck and heavy-duty applications, and continues to work on product innovation and design.
“The company maintains and extends its position as a leader in the filtration market by producing top-quality products, offering first-class service and revolutionizing the future of filtration technology,” the company said in a news release.
Most recently, Purolator has maintained these assurances with the creation of PurolatorBOSSpremium cabin air filters with Febreze Freshness. With a focus on filtering out virus aerosols, this product also blocks and controls odors, while preventing 99% of fine particles from entering a vehicle’s cabin, according to the company.
“Purolator’s goal to strive for quality and innovative products began in 1923, and still continues nearly a century later,” said Daryl Benton, vice president of sales and marketing for the automotive aftermarket with MANN+HUMMEL. “We are thrilled to celebrate our 100-year milestone in 2023. Purolator has been able to maintain its role as a market leader with leading-edge technology and global manufacturing best practices. Through continued hard work and diligence, Purolator will thrive for another 100 years.”
After a century of innovation, the celebration will kick off at AAPEX booth A1843. AAPEX is scheduled for Nov. 1-3 in Las Vegas.
