Parts Authority, one of the largest distributors of automotive and truck parts to the aftermarket, held its vendor-appreciation reception and award ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 2, during Industry Week in Las Vegas.
The event took place at the TAO Asian Bistro and Nightclub in the Venetian Hotel.
“Our vendor reception finally returned after a small hiatus,” said Randy Buller, president and CEO of Parts Authority. “We couldn’t be happier to have hosted such a spectacular ceremony honoring phenomenal companies and exceptional partners. We are lucky to work with great leaders in the industry who are dedicated and committed to the success of our company. Congratulations and thank you from all of us at Parts Authority.”
Parts Authority started the evening by recognizing Highline Warren (pictured) as its 2022 Supplier of the Year. Highline Warren, one of the nation’s premier suppliers of automotive chemicals and products, was recognized for its overall outstanding business practices, partnership and dedication to Parts Authority and its customers.
FCS Automotive and TrakMotive received the Partnership Award, recognizing their efforts and willingness to find innovative methods that fuel both Parts Authority’s and their own organizations’ growth.
Durago and Mevotech received Supply Chain Awards. These vendors maintained a strong and steady supply chain despite challenging circumstances, Parts Authority noted.
Parts Authority recognized Standard Motor Products with the Operational Performance Award. The recipient was measured on communication, organization, and the ability to adapt and grow alongside Parts Authority. Standard Motor Products truly delivered exceptional operational performance, Parts Authority said.
ACDelco received the Program Performance Award. ACDelco was recognized for going above and beyond the “call of duty” to grow and support its brand across multiple channels nationwide, in turn benefiting both Parts Authority and its customers.
URO Parts, which offers more than 8,000 high-quality spare parts for European, American and Asian vehicles, was named the organization’s 2022 Import Supplier of the Year. URO demonstrated its ability to be a market leader in the import segment.
Depo received the 2022 New Vendor Award. Depo offers aftermarket lighting and collision parts at competitive prices. Depo was recognized for its high-quality products and ability to move quickly and successfully through the challenging process of becoming a new vendor.
Bosch received the 2022 Marketing Excellence Award. Bosch consistently delivered successful marketing strategies and support throughout the year.
Parts Authority recognized Dorman Products with the 2022 Catalog and Data Award. From new-product data to ACES and PIES to images, videos and beyond, Dorman proved to be an industry leader in all aspects of cataloging and data, Parts Authority noted.
DRiV received the 2022 Brand Recognition Award. DRiV was recognized for maintaining strong brand awareness within its portfolio of products and its consistent support of Parts Authority’s business.
Bryan Moberly, national key account manager at Bosch, was named 2022 Factory Representative of the Year. Moberly delivered consistent and outstanding support throughout the year, resulting in significant growth for Bosch, Parts Authority and its customers.
Mike Glazier, president at Glazier Sales Associates, and Robbie Riefberg of NA Williams, were named 2022 Manufacturer Representatives of the Year. Glazier and Riefberg successfully managed multiple brands and inventory within Parts Authority, while educating team members and customers.
Parts Authority awarded five recipients with the Road Warrior Award. Justin Masseo from Glazier Sales Associates, Hector Garcia from NA Williams, Bill Wilson from KSW Enterprises, Mike Beam from Idemitsu Lubricants America and Kendell Smith from Standard Motor Products were recognized for their outstanding and ongoing efforts on the front lines. These “road warriors” trained customers, educated team members and solved problems with passion and precision.

Spectra Premium Mobility Solutions has appointed Josh Gordon as president and CEO, effective immediately, the company announced.
Previously, Gordon was president and COO of Spectra.
Gordon joined Spectra in November 2021 and brings a wealth of experience in the automotive industry, with previous leadership roles at Fram Group and Old World Industries, as well as a rich commercial background in consumer products.
Denis Chabot, Spectra’s previous CEO, is retiring but will remain closely involved with Spectra as a board member and senior advisor.
“We are excited about all the positive momentum at Spectra Premium, which continues with the appointment of Josh as the new CEO,” said Ilya Koffman, chairman of the board at Spectra Premium Mobility Solutions. “Josh is a proven leader in the industry, and we are confident that he will drive Spectra’s future success. “We would also like to thank Denis for all his contributions to Spectra Premium and look forward to continuing to work with him in his role as a member of the board of directors.”
“Josh is the perfect person to lead Spectra forward. He has the right combination of experience, leadership, and temperament to realize Spectra’s full potential,” Chabot added. “I am excited to continue my engagement with this great team and this great business.”
Gordon will be leading the business transformation that started last November upon Spectra’s acquisition by Turnspire Capital Partners.
“Spectra Premium’s primary objectives are to optimize our unique North American manufacturing capabilities, as well as our superior engineering expertise, to reduce supply chain risks and grow product categories for our valued customers “ Gordon said. “With a healthy balance sheet, we have invested in improved service levels through inventory availability, production improvements and talent upgrades in key positions, all of which will enable us to serve our current and future aftermarket and OE customers.”
In addition to changes in executive leadership, new talent has been added to the aftermarket and OE teams in recent weeks. Each of these new members will bring a fresh perspective to the team as well as further expertise and experience that will strengthen Spectra’s value proposition. Below are a few of the exciting additions:
Erich Schmidt – Senior director, aftermarket sales Simon Weallans – Senior director, OE sales Jessica Hyde – Marketing director Scott Nash – Category and product management director “Spectra Premium will continue to be a trusted partner in providing heat-transfer, undercar, engine-management and metal-fabrication solutions that exceed the expectations of the market,” the company said in a news release. “Spectra has unique capabilities as a North American manufacturer as well as a management team and dedicated employees that are working together to deliver the same OE-quality parts and category expertise that have made Spectra Premium a market leader.”

Federated Auto Parts, a longtime patron of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF), has attained Diamond Lifetime Trustee status for its ongoing support.
“Since the founding of Federated Auto Parts nearly 40 years ago, Federated has been committed to providing the next generation of auto care professionals with scholarships and educational opportunities,” said Sue Godschalk, president of Federated Auto Parts. “Federated members take great pride in supporting the University of the Aftermarket Foundation and we are honored to be recognized as a Diamond Lifetime Trustee. We look forward to continuing to work closely with UAF and helping more young men and women achieve their goals.”
“The University of the Aftermarket Foundation thanks Federated Auto Parts and their membership for their continued generosity and support of UAF,” said Bob Egan, chairman of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation. “Federated has supported UAF since day one and their generous patronage continues today. Automotive Parts Associates (APA) announced that Factory Motor Parts (FMP) acquired B&I Auto Supply in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
This four-location acquisition expands FMP’s eastern footprint and grows its national presence to more than 150 locations in 22 states. B&I is a leading distributor of OE parts including ACDelco, Motorcraft, Mopar, Nissan and Mercedes brands.
“We are excited to bring B&I into the FMP family,” says Todd Heldt, FMP’s executive vice president. “Their strong understanding of the OE business makes them a great fit for FMP. We will continue to build the OE business while expanding their aftermarket offering into the independent service center and fleet side of the business.
Steve Tucker, president of Automotive Parts Associates, added: “Growth is good, and anytime we hear of our shareholders expanding, we’re thrilled, to say the least.”
