After its initial U.S. launch in October 2023, UniClutch said it is expanding its North American footprint with two additional SKUs – 4Terrain and Track – “to enhance how enthusiasts can experience this one-of-a-kind clutch product.”

Compatible with the UniClutch Flex Fit Installation system, existing UniClutch owners can upgrade to the new range-topping models by swapping in the new Track or 4Terrain core unit.

With the second iteration of the UniClutch system, the brand is reaching even more drivers.

UniClutch Track

Track holds up to 1,450 foot-pounds of torque capacity with a heat-resistant ceramic dual core; lightened chromoly billet cover assembly; and a stronger quad drive sprung dampening system to handle punishing motorsport use, “while still being street-able,” according to the company.

“Tested with pro drift drivers and circuit racers, it’s great for any motorsport discipline or professional use,” the company said. “The Track ICT variant introduces an innovative intercooler for a further (up to) 40% reduction in heat, perfect for muscle cars and other applications developing massive torque at very low RPM.”

UniClutch 4Terrain

4Terrain stands out due to its heat dissipation designed for 4×4’s, featuring ICT intercooler technology, according to

“This innovation reduces fade, sustaining more slippage during extreme off-roading conditions, allowing drivers to maintain control and performance even in the harshest environments,” the company explained.

Together with a new quad drive sprung 4×4 dual core featuring an upgraded friction composition, 4Terrain boasts 1,450 foot-pounds of torque capacity and an anti-corrosion, anti-flex, heavy-duty billet steel cover assembly.

The entire UniClutch line is retailing at select NAPA stores across the United States and at

      In the summer of 1974,
link hidden, please login to view introduced a limited line of MacPherson Strut replacement cartridges, Gas-a-Just and Premium Heavy Duty shock absorbers to North America.   Celebrating the Past, Looking to the Future
Surviving the turbulent ‘70s, KYB took full advantage of the economically booming ‘80’s, building a new 500,000-square-foot North American manufacturing plant in Franklin, Indiana just outside Indianapolis. The Franklin plant has been building OE and aftermarket shocks and struts since 1986. It continues to grow with the addition of a research and development lab, “clean” room for assembling shock valving, and most recently, being honored as the 2019 Industrial Plant of the Year for Wastewater Quality for reducing wastewater discharge 40% to the City of Franklin, KYB said.
The next few decades saw growth, with a new office being opened in Addison, Illinois, in 1999, and the launch of highly popular MonoMax truck shock just after the Millenium, according to KYB. In 2008, the company debuted the Strut-Plus complete assembly, which it said helped to set the standard in aftermarket ride control.
2011 saw the opening of a 275,000-square-foot distribution center in Greenwood, Indiana, just up the road from the Franklin manufacturing plant. The close proximity of these two locations allowed for quicker development and manufacturing of new applications and product lines, as well as faster distribution to customers throughout North America. The Addison, Illinois, office was moved to the Greenwood facility in 2014, completing the consolidation of administration, distribution, and manufacturing.
As it celebrates the past and looks to the future, KYB said it continues to grow, with monthly announcements of additional applications and fitments, new product releases, such as KYB JAOS lift kit applications, and a new product line scheduled for release in 2025.

Chase Elliott and the No. 9
link hidden, please login to view team started 15th in Sunday’s NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway after Saturday’s heat races were rained out and the lineup was set by qualifying results. When the first caution flag of the race came out on lap two, Elliott was scored in the same position in which he started. Under the yellow, crew chief Alan Gustafson called the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion to pit road for the primary tire option after starting the race on the soft tire option. Elliott restarted 16th on lap 11 and found himself inside the top 10 for the first time of the race on lap 41. The Dawsonville, Georgia, native battled with the ninth-place driver for several laps, but he couldn’t make the pass before the scheduled lap-100 caution occurred. The field came to pit road for mandatory pit stops, with the No. 9 team opting for the soft tires it had on earlier in the race. A fast, four-tire stop by the NAPA Racing crew gained Elliott two spots on pit road, and he lined up eighth for the choose cone, taking the inside lane for the restart on lap 109. The Hendrick Motorsports driver continued to battle inside the top eight and was scored in the seventh position when an on-track incident brought out the yellow flag on lap 118. Staying out on the track under the caution, Elliott lined up on the inside lane for the lap-124 restart and was running in the ninth spot when the second scheduled caution slowed the race on lap 150. Elliott relayed that his NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 needed more security, so the team made a chassis adjustment during its pit stop for four soft tires and fuel.
With some teams opting to pit for only two tires, Elliott lined up 12th for the choose cone and took the inside lane for the restart on lap 159. From there, he pressed forward and moved back into the top 10 on lap 165. He managed to gain two more positions before the checkered flag waved, claiming an eighth-place result in the 200-lap all-star event. It was Elliott’s second consecutive top-10 finish in the exhibition event and seventh top-10 overall in nine All-Star Race starts, which includes his 2020 victory at Bristol Motor Speedway when he took home the $1-million prize.
