CRP Automotive offers Rein Automotive TechSelect Turbo Kits (CRP P/N TRK0007) for some of the most popular BMW applications on the road today. These kits are a solution for turbocharger replacement service and include all of the hoses, gaskets, and hardware necessary to complete the job quickly and efficiently.

Developed with technicians in mind, Rein Automotive TechSelect Turbo Kits include the most recent turbo hose versions, and include all brackets, hardware, and necessary sealing components for installation. This allows shops to order all of the components needed to complete a turbocharger service by using one part number.

Rein Automotive TechSelect Turbo Kits are available for popular BMW applications that use the N54 and N55 engines, including the 335i, 335i xDrive, 335is and 335xi, from model years 2007-2018. Additional coverage is available for vehicles with N20 and N26 engines including the 320i and 328i from 2012-2018, among others.

“We developed these TechSelect kits to make turbocharger replacement easier,” noted David Hirschhorn, CRP Automotive brand director. “As these vehicles reach higher mileage, the turbocharger system begins to wear out and most of the system components can’t be reused. Our TechSelect Turbo Kits provide a one-stop solution, giving technicians confidence in knowing that they have all the necessary parts to complete the job and avoid comebacks.”

The automotive aftermarket industry could be on the verge of one of its biggest shakeups in years.
According to a Bloomberg report, O'Reilly Automotive has submitted a cash offer for the automotive parts division of Genuine Parts Company, a business that analysts believe could be valued at more than $10 billion. While neither company has confirmed the negotiations, the report suggests a decision on the future of the business could come before the end of the summer. Genuine Parts could ultimately sell the division, pursue a spinoff, or retain the business if it determines that is the better long-term strategy.
For the automotive aftermarket, the implications could be significant. Genuine Parts is best known as the parent company of NAPA Auto Parts, one of North America's largest distributors of replacement parts for professional repair facilities, fleets, and do-it-yourself customers. Combining that network with O'Reilly's extensive retail and commercial operations would create an even larger player in an already competitive industry.
A transaction of this size could influence everything from supplier relationships and distribution networks to pricing, inventory availability, and competition with other major retailers such as AutoZone and Advance Auto Parts. Independent repair shops may also be watching closely to see whether any ownership changes affect commercial programs, delivery networks, or parts availability.
At this stage, the report remains based on anonymous sources familiar with the discussions, and there is no guarantee a deal will ultimately be completed. Additional bidders could emerge, or Genuine Parts could decide to pursue a different strategic direction.
      What do you think?
Should O'Reilly acquire Genuine Parts' automotive business? Would this strengthen competition or reduce consumer choice? How could this affect NAPA stores, independent repair shops, and DIY enthusiasts? If you're in the automotive industry, what impact would you expect on pricing and parts availability? Join the discussion below and share your thoughts on what could become one of the largest automotive aftermarket deals in recent history.

The BMW i8 engine features a unique hybrid setup combining a turbocharged engine with electric motors. This system delivers both efficiency and impressive performance. Buyers should ensure all hybrid components are included and functioning properly. Repairs can be expensive, so choosing a tested unit is important. Availability may be limited due to the vehicle’s exclusivity. Always verify compatibility and condition before purchase. Investing in a quality engine ensures better performance, efficiency, and long-term reliability for this advanced sports car.

I always read reviews before spending serious money on auto parts, so I figured I'd contribute my own Turbo Auto Parts review for anyone researching them right now. Background: my 2009 Honda Accord needed a full engine replacement after a timing chain failure that the previous owner had clearly ignored. My mechanic quoted me $6,500 for a new OEM engine and install. That wasn't happening. So I started looking at used engine suppliers and came across Turbo Auto Parts after seeing their name mentioned a few times in Honda forums. Here's my honest breakdown: Communication excellent. Every question I had was answered the same day, sometimes within the hour. They never tried to upsell me on anything I didn't need. Pricing competitive without being suspiciously cheap. I've seen too good to be true prices on other sites that ended up being a complete scam. Turbo Auto Parts was priced realistically for the quality they deliver.  Engine conditionarrived exactly as described. Low mileage, clean externally, no obvious leaks. Warranty 3 years/30k miles coverage was included. My mechanic reviewed the terms and said they were fair and standard. Overall, my Turbo Auto Parts review is solidly positive. Would recommend to anyone needing a used engine from a supplier that actually communicates properly.   link hidden, please login to view
