“We engineer, manufacture and test our parts in-house. Those capabilities allow us to consistently meet and exceed consumers’ needs,” said Ryan Gernheuser, repair group director, product management/aftermarket engineering at First Brands Group. “This process enabled us to innovate quickly and with quality to introduce new water pumps in Carter’s Rapid Fit line that cover several Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ford, Lincoln and Nissan models. We’ve also introduced an array of new standard water pumps for applications among modern Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Audi and Volkswagen vehicles.

Carter’s full line of water pumps cover 95% of domestic and import VIO and offers limited lifetime and 12-month warranties for select products to provide added peace of mind.

Standard Motor Products (SMP) continues to add to its comprehensive emission-control program.
The program includes evaporative emission control (EVAP), exhaust-gas recirculation (EGR) and positive crankcase ventilation components.
Standard’s emission-control program helps technicians repair and maintain these complex systems.
Standard’s EVAP program includes canister-purge solenoids, canister-purge valves, canister-vent solenoids, EVAP-system integrity modules (ESIM), fuel-vapor canisters, fuel-vapor leak-detection pumps, vapor-canister purge valves, vapor-canister vent hoses and more.
Recently released Standard EVAP components include canister-purge solenoids for 2.1 million vehicles, including the 2021-2018 Honda Accord and 2021-2019 Acura RDX, as well as fuel-vapor canisters for popular import and domestic vehicles such as the 2022-2020 Hyundai Palisade and 2019 Chevrolet Malibu.
Fuel-vapor leak-detection pumps are now available for the 2021-2015 Volkswagen Golf and 2019-2015 Volkswagen GTI. Canister-purge valve hoses recently were introduced for 11.5 million General Motors, Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles.
Standard’s full EGR program includes EGR valves, control solenoids, position sensors, pressure sensors and EGR tubes. EGR valves covering an additional 4 million vehicles, including the 2023 RAM 2500 and 2021-2020 Ford Explorer, recently have been introduced. EGR control solenoids also are available for 1.1 million Hyundai and Kia vehicles, including the 2019-2015 Hyundai Sonata and 2020-2016 Kia Optima.
Standard’s crankcase program features crankcase breather hoses, crankcase filters, PCV valves, crankcase ventilation filters and more. More than 40 engine-crankcase breather hoses have been added since the beginning of the year, offering new coverage for more than 40 million vehicles. New PCV valves also have been released for General Motors, Lexus and Toyota vehicles, including the 2019-2018 Chevrolet Traverse.
Standard’s emission-control components are precision-engineered and tested for durability and OE-matching performance, according to the company. These parts undergo rigorous examination and product validation, including extensive performance benchmarking, product lifecycle testing and end-of-line testing. To ensure trouble-free operation, each component must pass comprehensive quality testing, including computer-controlled bench testing for resistance, leakage and response and flow rates, according to SMP.
“Our emission-control program offers more than 1,500 EVAP components and 4,000 products for crankcase and EGR emissions, providing our trusted partners with all of the components they need to keep vehicle emissions low,” said John Herc, vice president of vehicle control marketing for SMP. “Maintaining emissions-control systems with premium components is good for our industry and the planet.”
All new Standard emission-control components are listed in the catalog found at

With Mopar and bproauto, our dealerships offer a 360-degree, multi-brand, one-stop-shop solution for nearly all customers, all vehicles and all brands.”

Motul recently launched Motul 8100 Power for the North American market.
Motul developed 8100 Power specifically for performance street vehicles that do not require a dedicated track motor oil such as Motul 300V, the company said.
The 100% synthetic, ester-based engine oil replaces and expands upon the Motul Sport line and is available in four viscosities for use in naturally aspirated and forced-induction gasoline and diesel engines.
“Engineered with modern performance engines in mind, 8100 Power provides the ideal balance between performance and protection,” said Motul USA Marketing Manager Nolan Browning. “With 8100 Power, we are taking what we’ve learned from our decades as a leader in motorsport lubrication technology and applying it to high-performance and tuned street cars. It’s the perfect addition to our line of motor oils for everything from general service to extreme track use.”
      The new line of
link hidden, please login to view is specially formulated to ensure performance and reliability for turbocharged or naturally aspirated light-duty diesel or gasoline engines across a broad range of temperatures and engine RPMs, according to Motul. Motul 8100 Power is engineered to protect against the risk of low-speed pre-ignition in small-displacement turbocharged direct-injection engines. It delivers oil-film resistance at elevated temperatures for peak engine power, torque and anti-wear protection, thanks to a unique combination of ester base oils and friction modifiers, according to the company.
Motul 8100 Power also maintains compatibility with manufacturer warranties with vehicles requiring API SP-grade lubricants as well as full compatibility with bioethanol (E85 and E100), LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), CNG (compressed natural gas) and diesel fuels.
Motul 8100 Power is available in 0W-20, 5W-30, 5W-40 and 5W-50 viscosities in 1-liter and 5-liter containers. The high-performance lubricant already has been recommended and extensively tested for high-performance vehicles at manufacturer-recommended drain intervals.
