CRP Automotive is recognizing the 40th anniversary of the Pentosin brand of technical fluids in North America.
CRP Automotive began selling Pentosin fluids in the North American market in 1983 and offers the import-vehicle community a comprehensive line of antifreeze, brake fluids, hydraulic fluids, motor oil,  transmission fluids and kits.
CRP Automotive will mark the anniversary with specialty signage and featured products at AAPEX in Las Vegas, slated for Oct. 31-Nov. 2.
“We’re thrilled to be celebrating four decades of offering the Pentosin brand to our wide and loyal customer base in the North American market,” said Mark Malone, Pentosin brand director. “These are fluids that are trusted by the OE market for ‘first fills’ and our customers trust that when they choose a Pentosin fluid, they are choosing a product that will meet the technical challenges of today’s advanced European and Asian  vehicles.”

Schaeffler has been named a 2023 Automotive News PACE Award finalist for its eRocker system.
The electromechanical valve-deactivation technology is one of 34 automotive innovations recently named a finalist in the annual competition that identifies and celebrates the latest game-changing innovations from the plant floor to the product to the showroom floor.
The Schaeffler eRocker system is an electromechanical valve system used to deactivate the exhaust valves of the engine. The system consists of three main components: a dual-pin electromagnetic actuator; two slider bars; and either eight (four-cylinder) or 12 (six-cylinder) switchable roller finger followers.
The system currently is in production with a major global automaker on both a six-cylinder and four-cylinder gasoline engine, Schaeffler noted.
According to the company, Schaeffler’s eRocker systems offers a number of unique advantages over competitive systems, including: full switching performance throughout the entire engine temperature/speed range; relatively simple integration within the cylinder head; independent operation of oil pressure from the cylinder head; and a reduced total system cost.
“Schaeffler is honored that our eRocker System has been recognized as an Automotive News PACE Award finalist among an outstanding group of global automotive innovators,” said Jerry Dixon, vice president valvetrain, Schaeffler. “Our eRocker System is an example of how innovations on internal combustion engines can offer further benefits to hybrid vehicle drivetrains.”

To further enhance and expand its replacement parts and service business in North America, Stellantis announced the bproauto aftermarket parts brand as its new line of high-quality, competitively priced, replacement parts.

The original-equipment-backed parts come with up to a two-year/unlimited-mile warranty. In addition, batteries have up to two-year free replacement coverage and brake pads carry a limited lifetime warranty, according to Stellantis.
“With the introduction of bproauto, we’re further enhancing the customer experience by offering a new, competitively priced, private-label line of high-quality, factory-backed parts for most makes and models,” said Mike Koval, head of Mopar North America. “While Mopar will remain the global original-equipment parts and authentic accessories brand for Stellantis, bproauto will offer an alternative for nearly all brands and all cars – new, used, owned, rented or shared. With Mopar and bproauto, our dealerships offer a 360-degree, multi-brand, one-stop-shop solution for nearly all customers, all vehicles and all brands.”
In North America, 30 parts categories will be available for most makes and models to support the ongoing transition of the automotive repair industry. Additional product lines will phase into the Stellantis dealership network.
