Founded in 1950 by World War II veteran Lloyd A. Bailey, Diesel USA Group began as Diesel Injection Service Company in Louisville, Kentucky. Bailey’s technical expertise and early involvement in the postwar diesel service industry — including his participation in the first meeting of the Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS) in 1956 — helped shape the company’s trajectory and the industry at large.

In 2019, Diesel USA Group was acquired by JASPER Holdings Inc., parent company of Jasper Engines & Transmissions. The company continues to operate as an independent brand within JASPER’s ESOP structure while retaining the leadership team that has guided its long-term growth.

Joining VIPAR Heavy Duty

Jerry Mabis, corporate liaison at JASPER Holdings Inc., said Diesel USA joined

to leverage its long-standing position as a central distributor of fuel-injection, turbocharger, and engine-related fuel-system component product lines.

“In evaluating the opportunity, we recognized the value-added benefits of aligning with VIPAR Heavy Duty’s established network and expanding access to complementary product lines. As we looked at our existing relationships with leading suppliers within the VIPAR Heavy Duty family, it became clear that joining as a stockholder would deliver significant mutual benefit,” said Mabis.

Customer Base and U.S. Locations

Diesel USA Group serves a diverse customer base across industries that rely on gas and diesel engine systems. Its market reach extends nationwide through locations in Louisville, Kentucky; Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio; Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and Crown Point, Indiana; and Fontana, California.

These facilities enable the company to deliver products and technical expertise to commercial fleets, consumer diesel drivers and equipment owners.

“Diesel USA Group’s decades long commitment to technical excellence, deep industry expertise, and strategically located facilities significantly strengthen our network’s ability to support customers nationwide. By adding their proven capabilities in diesel engine products, diagnostics, and remanufacturing, we are expanding both the depth and reach of the solutions we can offer to end-users,” said Joe Meyer, vice president of business development for VIPAR Heavy Duty.

TalkRev launched PartsNow.ai, an AI-assisted platform designed to help fleets, owner-operators and repair shops find and purchase heavy-duty truck parts more efficiently. The company said the system uses AI-driven chat, voice interaction and visual recognition to identify parts and connect users with a network of distributors.
      AI Tools Streamline Parts Identification
According to TalkRev, the platform allows users to search for parts in multiple ways:
Describing the issue or component Uploading a photo of the part or vehicle VIN Speaking directly with an AI agent The system then identifies the part and provides availability and pricing from its distributor network.
“Too many mechanics spend their day on the phone calling suppliers just to buy a brake disc or a turbocharger,” said Manna Justin, CEO of TalkRev. “You tell us what you need—type it, say it, or upload a photo of the broken part or the truck’s VIN—and our AI identifies the exact component and sources it from our network of distributors.”
      Integrated Purchasing and Distributor Network

link hidden, please login to view said it aggregates inventory from a network of distributors, with a catalog of more than 50,000 parts. Users can complete purchases through a single checkout process, with PartsNow handling the transaction. The company said this approach allows distributors to reach customers without building their own e-commerce systems. Voice and Mobile Interaction
The platform also supports phone-based interaction, where users can describe an issue and receive follow-up questions from the AI agent. TalkRev said the system then sends a text message with product details, pricing and a link to complete the purchase.
Steve Fultz, president of PartsNow.ai, said the platform is designed to reduce time spent searching for parts and improve access to inventory.
