Mooresville, NC (January 18, 2023) – Kasey Kahne Racing (KKR) and NAPA announced today that they have agreed to a multi-year contract extension. Brad Sweet will continue to pilot the team’s No.49 machine as he has been the primary driver since 2017 when the partnership began.
“We have had a blast teaming up with NAPA on the 49 and are thrilled to have the opportunity to keep winning with them. NAPA is a great partner, and it’s so fun to see how many store owners and employees join us at the track throughout the year,” said Kasey Kahne, president of Kasey Kahne Racing.
The partial partnership began in 2017 when Sweet claimed 2nd in the World of Outlaws Series point standings. Concluding the 2017 season, NAPA elevated their role to become the primary sponsor of the No.49, which has since won several of the most prestigious sprint car racing events, the 2018 Knoxville Nationals, 2019 King’s Royal & the 2019 Jackson Nationals. Sweet and the NAPA No.49 team are looking to Drive for Five consecutive championships in 2023! The new season will kick off Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida.

First Brands Group has announced the opening of its sponsorship application for the 2023 season.
Competitors in stock car, kart, dirt track, drag racing, motocross and other circuits can apply now through Dec. 15.
StopTech, Autolite, Raybestos and FRAM will provide support to teams that are selected for racing sponsorships. Selected teams will represent these automotive parts brands in hundreds of events across the United States.
“Our racing program is back for 2023, and with the support of four of our industry-leading brands, this is shaping up to be our biggest year yet,” said Carl Weber, senior marketing director, First Brands Group. “We’re confident that our support and high-performance brakes, filters and spark plugs will give our sponsored teams a boost as they race towards a victory.”
In 2022, StopTech, Autolite, Raybestos and FRAM sponsored more than 50 race teams competing in stock car, kart, dirt track, drag racing and motocross circuits. The 2023 sponsorship program will offer more co-sponsorship opportunities to give selected race teams support from multiple brands.

Autolite has released its list of sponsored racing teams for the 2022 season.
This year’s list features nationwide competitors across the kart, stock car, dirt track, drag racing and motocross circuits.
Throughout the 2022 season, Autolite will provide the necessary support to more than two dozen Autolite racing teams who will represent the spark plug brand in hundreds of competitive events across the United States.
“Racing is really heating up this year and Autolite is proud to be part of the excitement and competition,” said Carl Weber, senior marketing director, First Brands Group. “We’re confident that our support and high-performance spark plugs will give the Autolite racing teams a competitive edge.”

FRAM announced that it has finalized a sponsorship agreement with Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) for the 2022 season.
This is the second year that FRAM will participate in SRX as a sponsor.
“We are excited to continue our relationship with FRAM in the 2022 season,” said Reid Mobley, chief revenue officer of SRX. “FRAM was an integral part of our season one success, and we look forward to seeing them in victory lane this season.”
SRX kicks off its schedule June 18 in Pensacola, Florida. The 2022 season will feature six races at tracks across the United States:
June 18 – Five Flags Speedway, Pensacola, Florida June 25 – South Boston Speedway, South Boston, Virginia July 2 – Stafford Motor Speedway, Stafford Springs, Connecticut July 9 – Nashville Fairgrounds, Nashville July 16 – I-55 Raceway, Pevely, Missouri July 23 – Sharon Speedway, Hartford, Ohio The FRAM logo will be prominantly featured on Marco Andretti’s car as he competes against a star-studded lineup that includes: Tony Stewart, Tony Kanaan, Ryan Newman, Matt Kenseth, Hailie Deegan, Paul Tracy, Helio Castroneves, Bobby Labonte, Ernie Francis Jr. and Michael Waltrip.
“It is very special to have FRAM on board with me this season for all six SRX races,” said Andretti, driver of the No. 98 car in SRX. “I am honored to carry their colors and hope to get them some wins.”
“FRAM is excited to once again partner with SRX Racing,” said Patrick Reyes, marketing manager for FRAM. “Last year’s relationship was a great platform to relaunch the FRAM brand and we hope to see continued success for SRX and victories for FRAM on the track.”
