      Daison Pursley and the
link hidden, please login to view No. 9 team officially kicked off the 2026 High Limit Racing season over the past two weeks, competing in six races across Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Central Arizona Raceway. Following an offseason focused on building chemistry and speed, the Kasey Kahne Racing team entered the year with momentum and immediately showed promise against a strong field of competitors.
The High Limit season opener at Las Vegas Motor Speedway marked the first points-paying events of the year, and the NAPA No. 9 ran consistently inside the top 10 throughout the three-night weekend.
On Thursday, Pursley qualified eighth in Flight A and advanced to a 12th-place finish in the feature after starting 15th. Friday brought one of the team’s strongest performances of the weekend, as Pursley qualified third, ran up front in the heat race, and drove from ninth to sixth in the A-Main.

The weekend concluded Saturday with another solid showing as the NAPA No. 9 qualified third once again and advanced from 13th to 10th in the feature. The consistent results to open the season positioned the team well in the early championship standings and reinforced the speed shown throughout the offseason.

The team carried that momentum into Central Arizona Raceway for the Cactus Classic, where Pursley delivered a standout performance on Thursday night. After qualifying 10th in a stout, 31-car field, Pursley advanced through his heat race and charged from 10th to a third-place finish in the A-Main, earning the first ever podium for the NAPA No. 9 team.
Friday and Saturday presented challenges, as the team continued to show speed but was ultimately sidelined by incidents in both feature events, resulting in a pair of DNFs. Despite the setbacks, the pace of the NAPA No. 9 remained evident throughout the weekend.

The NAPA No. 9 team now turns its focus to the next event at Vado Speedway Park in New Mexico on Tuesday as the 2026 High Limit Racing season continues.

Christian Eckes returned to EchoPark Speedway in Hampton, Ga., as one of the favorites for the second round of the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks (NCTS) season. However, the driver of the No. 91
link hidden, please login to view Nightvision Chevrolet Silverado RST was credited with a 36th-place finish after suffering a broken driveshaft on the second lap.
Eckes clocked in 15th-quickest in Friday afternoon’s qualifying session, tucked in behind MHR teammate and NAPA brethren Daniel Hemric. After the duo worked the bottom lane on the opening lap, Eckes pulled to the apron on lap two with a broken drive shaft and also lost third and fourth gears. Despite the early exit, Eckes is 10th in the NCTS standings entering next week’s inaugural event on the St. Petersburg, Fla., street circuit.

“Unfortunate to say the least. This obviously cost us a lot of points and we need to focus on responding at St. Pete next week and put NAPA Nightvision, NAPA Auto Care, Gates Hydraulics up front again and get back at it. Hopefully we can move on from this and be better in the next few weeks.”

Daniel Hemric’s first season with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing came to an early end on Friday night at Pheonix Raceway. The driver of the No. 19
link hidden, please login to view Chevrolet Silverado RST closed the 2025 season with a 33rd-place finish after being involved in an incident in the first corner on the opening lap. As a result, Hemric finished ninth in the final NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) points standings.
On Friday afternoon, Hemric qualified 19th and was poised to move forward until calamity struck in the first corner. Contact with the No. 62 truck on the entry to Turn 1 resulted in Hemric sliding up the track and into the outside wall, causing terminal damage to his Chevrolet. Hemric’s 2025 season behind the wheel of the NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet netted one victory, 10 top-five’s and 15 top-10 finishes.

“Really unfortunate way to end our season,” Hemric said. “It’s been a true privilege to drive this NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet this year. Our team and everyone had MHR had a lot of growth this year, plenty of moments where we had to pull together and felt like we certainly made strides the second half of the year. Wish the last few weeks played out differently, but that’ll help us over the winter to focus on areas to improve for next year.”

Chase Elliott and the No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts team qualified 25th for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Talladega Superspeedway. Not long after the first round of green-flag pit stops, Elliott was collected in a multi-car incident on lap 52 that ended his day early. With one race left in the Round of 8, Elliott sits eighth in the standings, 62 points below the cutline. He will need to win next weekend’s race at Martinsville Speedway to advance to the Championship 4. Chase Elliott and the No. 9
link hidden, please login to view team qualified 25th for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Talladega Superspeedway. The intensity was on from the start of the race, with the field running three-wide by the end of the first lap. Elliott strategically ran near the back of the pack early in stage one but had advanced up inside the top 20 before the first round of green-flag pit stops got underway on lap 43. The 29-year-old driver visited pit road on lap 47 for a fuel-only stop. With less than 10 laps to go in stage one, Elliott got collected in a multi-car incident that started at the front of the field. He brought the No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet to pit road for repairs, but the damage was too severe to continue in the race. Elliott was relegated to a 40th-place finish.
“I saw someone get turned sideways,” Elliott said after the incident. “I was trying to get slowed up like normal. I ended up getting turned sideways into some other cars, and then they slid back into me. I’m not really sure… I hate it. I felt like we had ourselves in a good spot before the pit cycle. I didn’t feel like we executed the cycle very well and that put us back in the back again. I’m not sure if that would have helped us miss the wreck or not. Obviously, all of that is very circumstantial, but nonetheless, it is what it is. I can’t change it now, so we’re just all eyes on Martinsville (Speedway) and we’ll try to go there and get a win.”

With just one race remaining in the Round of 8, Elliott sits eighth in the playoff standings, 62 points below the cutline. He will need to win next weekend’s race at Martinsville Speedway to advance to the Championship 4.

Jake Bollman’s first ARCA Menards Series West (AMSW) start at Madera Speedway came to an abrupt end on Saturday evening when an engine issue soured his effort. The driver of the No. 19
link hidden, please login to view Chevrolet SS had started the event strong by posting the fifth-fastest laps in Saturday afternoon’s practice session and qualifying. Bollman was eyeing his second victory on a 1/3-mile track this season, but thick smoke billowed from his No. 19 as the field completed the first lap on Saturday night. The engine expiration forced him to the garage with an early retirement and a 16th-place finish.
“Just super unfortunate to have our night end that early,” Bollman said. “Our NAPA Auto Care Chevy was decent in practice and thought we could drive to the front once the green dropped. Unfortunately, we’ll have to move on and focus on Las Vegas.”

Bollman, who has seven AMSW starts this year in 10 series races to date, remains eighth in the standings. The No. 19 NAPA Auto Care team returns to action on Friday, October 10, at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the penultimate race of the season.
